Okay, so this blog is a little overdue (or a lot overdue) but it still needs to be posted :)
We have had a pretty busy summer so far. In May, we "Finally" signed papers on our own home and became official home owners!! For those of you who have not been fully aware, we have been trying to buy a house since November! It took forever but it was worth the wait! We love our home! It is a three bedroom with a full unfinished basement and a beautiful back yard!! Below are a couple of pictures. We are so happy to no longer be renters. Homeownership has thus far treated us well :)
These were all taken before we actually signed papers so the grass is all a little... well dead. But you get the idea :)
This is the front with the for sale sign and everything!!
The big back yard! Again, the grass looks much better now.
My favorite room in the house :) Can you guess whose room this is now?? hehe.

HELLLO!!
I did it... I caved... I gave in... I STARTED A BLOG!!! Some might say, "why on earth would you do such a thing?" Others might say, "well it is about time!" Mark says, "does it cost me any money?"
RECAP: We are Mark and Laci Zollinger. We have been married for almost two years (go ahead and ask Mark when our anniversary is... he will probably say June 16th, when in reality it is June 13th... gotta give him credit for trying :) ) We have a beautiful daughter who is almost 14 months old (where did the time go???) and we all live in wonderful Casper, WY!! Two years ago, Mark and I had it set in our minds that we were coming to Casper for one reason, and one reason only, to get our education and then we were GONE!! We absolutely despised the idea of living here! It is a nice place to visit don't get me wrong, this was just not the town for us. Well... we bought a house :) looks like we will be sticking around for a while! But that is okay. We love it here now! It is perfect for us... though Mark is still skeptical about the high school here seeing as he grew up in Campbell County and has been long time rivals with Natrona County. But I am sure he will get over that soon enough!
Anywhooo..
Mark and I were married in Bountiful, Utah June 13th 2009. Not quite a month later we had a great opportunity to visit London, England with my drama group from high school. That was an incredible experience that I would love to do again when I have the time and money to do so! We had a rough first year of marriage as I am sure most if not all couples do. We left for Utah on a Tuesday morning and Mark found out he no longer had a job Monday morning. Given the small amount of time he had, he filled out as many applications as he could and did so for about two weeks after we got home from Utah as well. Finally, someone called. Walmart... night crew... not our dream job but it was a job nonetheless. He worked there for about a year and made some amazing life long friends that I am glad to say we still speak too. One friend in particular, Will, worked there part time and worked for an engineering company full time during the day. Him and Mark became very close and Will kept him in mind for when his other company was hiring. One day, shortly after our daughter was born, Mark received a phone call. It was from JW Williams, the engineering company. They wanted him to come in for an interview. He went and we were very nervous! With the new baby money was especially tight and me working was not an option. He got the job!! He has been there for over a year and loves it! He actually enjoys going to work in the morning! Some days we look back and that first year and wonder why we had to struggle so much when an opportunity was just around the corner. Then we decided, it doesn't matter. Everything worked out and that is all that matters. We are happy and healthy and just bought a house and things seem to be looking up. We can definitely count our blessings!
Well that is pretty much our life story in a nutshell and from here on out hopefully it will be broken up into multiple posts and more interesting for you to read! :)
Thanks for caring everyone! We couldn't have done half of what we have without our wonderful family and friends that have literally been by our sides every step of the way! Now you can all hopefully see your work in action!
