We had a great 4th of July holiday weekend at my parents house and Carylon loved her first parade and she even got to hold her own sparkler! Unfortunately I managed to come down with a nasty cold that was planning on sticking around for the long haul and it really wiped me out for about a week and I had a cough that only just went away about two weeks ago! Just in time for my wonderful trip to Phoenix with my mom! We had a blast! But it was SOOO HOT!!! And humid seeing as they are in the middle of monsoon season, but IT DOESN'T ACTUALLY RAIN IN THE DESERT! It just gets really cloudy and tries to rain but since it is so hot, the rain actually evaporates before it can hit the ground! Talk about a muggy yucky stick!
Here are a few pictures from our recent adventures! :)
Just having a grand ole time in the back yard.
Playing at the park with daddy!
Our church had a community pig roast. They even had a pinata that Carylon got to hit... with dad's help.
This is at Campbell County Fair during the pig show. These two were great friends that day! :)
But this was Carylon's bestest good friend all weekend! She loved this little goat and s/he was pretty fond of Carylon too! :)
This was a dance group that Carylon fell in love with. She was dancing with them from the sidelines during their entire performance! Too cute!
Mom and I with Curt and Karen Waisath in Phoenix! Wonderful people!
We had a family camp out the day I got home from Phoenix. Carylon had a BLAST!
Just a couple days ago Mark wanted to pull out the sprinkler... Carylon wasn't too sure about at first.
But she warmed up after watching dad a few times :)
She would still rather splash and play in the spigot though.
That is our summer so far! For the rest of this month we are looking forward to Mark's brother coming and staying with us before he leaves on his mission and Mark's cousin and her adorable family are coming to stay during Labor Day weekend! Then at the end of September we get to make a trek down to Utah for Mark's brothers trip through the temple before leaving for Mexico! Good Luck Nate!!
